No is greater than yes?
Unfortunately by saying ‘yes’ to it all in the past, I’ve sacrificed relationships, quality of work, personal health, and the time it takes to focus on goals I have yet to reach. I still struggle with this. So, I made a filter a while back that seems to help.
Make rejection your friend.
We can learn how to take rejection in stride both personally and professionally — and instead of being discouraged by it, we can learn and improve from it.
Milk was a bad choice. (Or was it?)
Was that choice really a bad one? At the time it might have been. But what has resulted since? Seemingly bad choices follow with opportunities, because they allow us to learn the hard lessons.
The answer is that there is no answer.
There’s no playbook for becoming a designer. The answer is that there is no answer. That’s the beauty of going to design school, and pursuing a design career—however you land there. Only by going through it do you truly discover where you want to be.
